Once upon a time there was a beautiful puppy covered in short, brindle hair who needed a home. She was discovered by the manager of a cute little pottery studio named Jayme. Jayme took one look at this adorable puppy and knew just the person to give her a good home…the owner of the pottery studio, Laurie. Well, after a text or two, the little puppy visited the studio and found a home. Now, the owner of the studio lived on a sailboat and since she couldn’t leave the puppy on the sailboat, she came to work with her everyday…actually, everywhere that Laurie went, the puppy was there too.
Now when it came time to name the cute puppy, Laurie and Jayme decided that it had to be a name that went with Laurie’s nickname of “Witch.” Now, Laurie isn’t really a witch, she just has a friend who thinks she controls the weather and calls her Witch and with her purple hair, it kinda stuck. So, they went down a long list of known witch names like…Sabrina, Samantha, Winifred, Hermoine, Glinda, Theodora, Luna, Gemma, Raven, Ursula, Angelica, Beatrix…and on and on and on without any reaction at all. Then a hint frustration kicked in and Laurie said “WICKED!” Well, the puppy’s head snapped around and she was at full attention looking to see what was happening and from that day on was known as Wicked the Witch’s dog.
Wicked loves all our customers and is the sweetest thing. She sits by the front door waiting for you to enter the studio, greets you as only a smart pup can, and makes sure you feel welcome. Many of our customers visit with treats and pets, and she likes that too. If you haven’t met Wicked yet, come on by the studio and I’ll introduce you (if she doesn’t beat me to it). Oh, and if you’re scared or allergic, just let us know – Wicked has a comfy futon, blankets, pillows and an office all to herself where she can catch up on her paperwork.
Remember to visit our cute studio where you can paint pottery, canvas, board art or glass seven days a week. Check our Events Calendar for upcoming classes, but know we’re always ready for walk-in customers. Stay tuned for our next installment of pet adventures at the pottery studio.
