BYOB Hand Building Wet Clay Workshops!
March 16, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm$45.00 – $450.00
One of our favorite things to play with at the studio is wet clay — it’s also the one that has the most room for errors that mean your project could end up in tiny bits or where you might lose attached pieces. There are some basic rules of clay that need to be followed to have a better chance of your projects surviving the firing process. Our wet clay workshops provide that much needed introduction and instructions for wet clay as well as give those who have been through our introduction an opportunity to sit and create with others for a creation central here at ClayZ.
What’s included: Instructions, up to 3 lbs. of clay, use of tools, glaze and firing (all in a single visit).
Class for One: $45 + tax
Class for Two: $90 + tax
Class for Four: $180 + tax
Private Class for 10: $450 + tax
WHEN YOU BOOK A “CLASS” THIS IS ONE CLASS FOR THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS NOTED AT ONE SITTING ON THE DATE SELECTED WHEN PURCHASING THE TICKET.
BEFORE YOU COME TO CLASS WE HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU CHECK OUT OUR PINTEREST PAGE FOR BEGINNER WET CLAY PROJECTS, OR DO A GOOGLE SEARCH. The most difficult part of this class is deciding what you might like to make — because the possibilities are ENDLESS!
*Two fire process is $15/piece extra and requires a second visit approximately two weeks after project creation (projects can take two or more weeks to dry and be fired depending on humidity, size and/or thickness of project and other factors). We will not fire before items are completely dry.
