SUMMER ART CLASS: MADE IN THE MUD AKA SWAMP THING
COVID 19 CHANGES TO SUMMER ART CLASSES
We are going to move forward with summer art classes with the following attendance protocols:
All students will wash/sanitize their hands and have their temperature taken upon entry. Any temperature above 100.4 (CDC guidelines for fevers in children) will not be allowed to attend class that day. Parents/Guardians dropping off will need to verify each day that the child has not had ANY COVID-19 children’s symptoms (runny nose, cough, vomiting and/or diarrhea, issues with taste or smell).
NO WALK-IN CUSTOMERS will be permitted in the studio between the hours of 9am and 4pm, NO EXCEPTIONS. We will use the entire studio for classes.
All surfaces will be disinfected (tables, chairs, art supplies, etc.) after classes end each afternoon and again at the end of the evening.
We will NOT require masks. If you would like your child to wear a mask, we don’t mind and will respect every parents’ decision. Staff will also not be required to wear masks, but can if they wish. All staff is limiting their public outings and maintaining social distancing, quarantining and sanitizing measures as recommended by our government and will continue to do so.
MADE IN THE MUD – SWAMP THING
(Monday through Friday)
Kids love playing in the mud – creating something out of nothing but a lump of wet dirt – if it started off as mud, we’ll have it as a project this week. Projects are finalized before the first week of class.
Full Day is $250 – Full day runs from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon,
30 min. for lunch, 12:30 – 3:30 pm
(Bring lunch for full day attendance everyday except Friday — full day attendees have Pizza and Ice Cream Day on Fridays!)
Half Day is $145 – Half day runs from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon OR 12:30 – 3:30 pm
Non-refundable deposit of $50 is required for all camps with the balance due the first morning of each camp. Registration is noted on our online events calendar only on Monday, but includes the entire week.
Six year olds may only attend half day classes. Our 2018 classes allowed all children, no matter what the age, to attend full day. We found that the younger children were worn out by the afternoon and no longer interested in the projects. Unlike most daycares, our classes require thought, creation and constant participation without a period for rest in between. If class size allows, this year we will break our children up into two groups, one group for ages 6 – 8 year olds (MONETS) and a second group for 9 – 13 year olds (PICASSOS). Also NEW this year is an extended day from 3:30 – 5:00 pm for an additional fee of $10/day for those with schedules that require a longer day.
As well, for a very discounted rate, we are offering children ages 14 – 17 years old “in training” attendance. In-training counselors will be able to create all the projects for the themed week, but will primarily be helping the younger children with their projects and the regular counselors with set up, cleaning, etc. We are limiting the in-training counselors to five per session, two in the 6-8 year old classes and three in the 9 – 13 year old classes. Typically these are kids who are too old for summer camps and too young to get a job. As well, we can offer volunteer hours required for graduation. All “in training” counselors are required to attend full day for the entire theme week and must be interviewed prior to acceptance into the program. Call the studio to get an interview at 321-453-4848.
Please read small print on Summer Art Class web page for terms and conditions. Registering your child(ren) in our class and paying the registration fee implies agreement to all our terms.
Payment due at time of reservation.
NO Refunds A credit to attend a future class will be issued if cancellation is made more than 24 hours before the scheduled event. Thank you.
